About Our Products
Where are DesiRoots products sourced from?
All DesiRoots products are sourced directly from pure botanical sources across India. We work with trusted vendors who have supplied authentic Ayurvedic herbs for generations.
Are your products 100% natural and pure?
Yes. Every DesiRoots product is 100% natural with no additives, fillers, artificial colours, or preservatives. What you receive is the same pure herb that has been used in Indian households for centuries.
Are your products food-grade / edible?
Gond Katira (Tragacanth Gum) is food-grade and safe for consumption. Ashwagandha root powder is a traditional dietary supplement. Multani Mitti is for external use only (face masks, hair care). Please always check individual product listings for specific usage guidance.
Do your products have any certifications?
Our products are sourced from suppliers who follow traditional quality standards. We are working towards obtaining FSSAI and organic certifications. For specific certification queries, email us at hello@desirootshop.com.
Ordering & Payment
What currencies do you accept?
We accept payments in INR (India), AED (UAE), GBP (UK), USD (USA), and CAD (Canada). Your local currency will be displayed at checkout automatically.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), UPI, and other local payment methods at checkout.
Is it safe to pay on your website?
Absolutely. Our website uses SSL encryption and payments are processed via Shopify's secure payment gateway. We never store your card details.
Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?
Orders can be modified or cancelled within 12 hours of placement. After that, the order enters processing and cannot be changed. Email us immediately at hello@desirootshop.com if you need to make changes.
Shipping & Delivery
Which countries do you ship to?
We currently ship to the UAE, United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. We are expanding to more countries soon.
How long does delivery take?
After 2–4 business days of processing, estimated delivery times are:
- UAE: 7–14 business days
- United Kingdom: 10–18 business days
- Canada: 12–21 business days
- United States: 10–18 business days
Will I receive a tracking number?
Yes. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email with your tracking number so you can monitor your shipment in real time.
Do you charge customs/import duties?
International orders may be subject to customs duties levied by the destination country. These are the responsibility of the recipient. DesiRoots is not responsible for delays due to customs processing.
Returns & Refunds
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery if the product is unused, unopened, and in its original packaging. For EU customers, a 14-day cooling-off period applies under consumer law.
My product arrived damaged — what do I do?
We're sorry! Please email hello@desirootshop.com within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage. We will arrange a replacement or full refund promptly.
How long does a refund take?
Once your return is received and inspected, refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to your original payment method.
Product Usage
How do I use Multani Mitti?
Mix 2 tablespoons of Multani Mitti powder with rose water or plain water to form a smooth paste. Apply evenly to face or hair, leave for 15–20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with cool water. Use 1–2 times per week.
How do I use Gond Katira?
Soak 1 teaspoon of Gond Katira in a glass of water overnight. It will swell into a clear gel. Add to lemonade, milk, or any cold drink. Best consumed in summer to cool the body from within. Always soak before consuming — do not eat dry.
How do I use Ashwagandha powder?
Mix ½ teaspoon in warm milk with a pinch of turmeric and honey before bed. Can also be added to smoothies. Start with a small amount and consult your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or on medication.
